[Thin Lizzy tour support]
The band were stunningly good tonight. Their performance matched any I've seen before (stretching back to the Borrowed Time tour).
Set list :-
Wild On The Streets
Give It To Me
Helpless
This Planet and Me
To The Devil His Due
In The Heat Of The Night
Mine All Mine
It's Electric
Am I Evil
Awesome.

Got to agree with everything you posted, I was extremely proud of DH last night, a gig and a half. |

Nick was particularly good on Friday, I thought. The rest of the band were firing on all cylinders too. It was a pleasure to see them with a good PA and a bigger stage, and they got a great reaction from the crowd too.
Here's some clips :-

My 12 year old son was with me, and he loved them too. He's put a whole load of DH songs on his iPod shuffle now.
Thin Lizzy - They played a good show, great set list (all of Live and Dangerous apart from Johnny The Fox, Baby Drives Me Crazy, and The Rocker, plus Waiting For An Alibi, Cold Sweat and Black Rose) but there's still a vital spark missing for me. And Sykes overdoes it, IMO, turning Emerald into a shred-fest and using the same guitar tricks on just about every song (either scraping down the fingerboard or the "air-raid siren" - wild vibrato squeals). DH were far better on the night. |

Thanks for that Weissheim, I saw someone else has put Am I Evil? on Youtube from Birmingham which is good.
Sounds like a cracking show and I am glad they kicked off with Wild on the Streets, that song is a corker.
P.S. Great pic with Brian and glad to hear your son has a good taste in music too |

Hello,
This is my first post and Ive got post gig blues I am sitting here remembering last weeks gig and hoping to find out when the band will be returning to Glasgow?I only saw DH for the first time at the cathouse last mth...my hearing is still goofed but they were AMAZING then I saw them last Friday at the Carling Acadamy and I am now totally smitten.I have been playing the All Will Be Revealed album to death for the past year or so its now one of my all time favs!
PS; I have to add guys if you read this next time you play Glasgow try booking King Tuts .The Cathouse has a really guff PA .I have yet to see a gig there without painful feedback.Your worth loosing my hearing for though(kinda wink). |

Hi Annie
Welcome to the forum.
I thought exactly the same about the Cathouse PA (http://diamondhead.myfastforum.org/ftopic205-0-asc-0.php).
I was talking to Brian when Lizzy were on, and asked him if they could play King Tuts next time instead. Hopefully he'll remember
Thinking back to last Friday, I think it was one of the best performances I've ever seen by a support band. Hopefully DH will get a few more fans as a result of the Lizzy tour and be able to step up the kind of venues they're playing. |

Just read your link King tuts would be an ace venue for them and us,just hope Brian listened It would be great if they could step up their venues but on a selfish note I hope they don,t get into really large venues I like hearing about them sitting at the bar or seeing them at the tshirt stand chatting .It keeps the band real and fun.Do you think they,ll be back 08 sometime?
