Hello all,
Just to announce that I have been given a slot on LUSH radio (Leicester), which can be heard on-line at www.lushradio.co.uk (I think), from Monday onwards. Or we will be broadcasting on soon 107.5 FM.
Anyway, my show is on Thursdays at 12 (noon) and is a classic rock show. Each week I'll take a differnt classic artist and explore what influenced them and what they went onto influence.
This Thursday I is going to be Led Zepplin, so there will definetly be some Diamond Head. Along with some Yard Birds, Wolf Mother and lots of Zep!!!

That's very cool! Classic rock on the radio is a GOOD thing! I'd really like to hear the show but the problem for me is 12 noon in Leicester is 7:00 a.m. in Florida and I'm already at work by then where they have just about all audio from the Internet blocked. Well, maybe on Thanksgiving (Nov. 23, holiday here) I can try to tune in via the web site.
Hope others can check this out . |

So, Sleeper, how did the radio show go and are there going to be any more?
I still haven't checked to see if the radio station comes over the Inernet when I'm at home.
I'm going to be home next Thursday morning, as far as I know. Mainly a matter of getting myself out of bed that early on a day I don't have to go to work. |

The show is going very well so far, Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden went down very well.
Good news for you Americans who want to listen in, and anyone else (esp Leicester). I have impressed the station enough to be let on FM (107.5 for anyone in Leicester).
Therefore my show has changed times. I am now on at 3pm on Saturdays. You can litsen in via this link http://streaming1.le.ac.uk/Lush%20FM?MSWMExt=.asf
This week (Nov 25th) I am doing Metallica, so except a few DH songs. Any requests? |

Sleeper, I didn't catch the corrected e-mail address to send an e-mail to the studio during your show today. Maybe you can post it on this board.
Great job and nice selection of songs! I really enjoyed the show.
Looking forward to the Ritchie Blackmore themed show next week. Deep Purple MK II and any Rainbow is fine by me! |

Glad to hear that you managed to listen in and liked the show
The e-mail address is lushstudio@le.ac.uk
Any requests Deep Purple/Rainbow you have for next week, feel free to ask. It'll get played.
What did you think of Megadeth's new track? I personally think that it is pretty good and get better as it goes along. Can't wait for the album to come out now! |

Some good news about the show.
I've been gifted a 2 hour special today, no idea why (I assume that the presenter after me is away this week). Anyway, It means that I can expand the show a little.
So I am going to have the normal format for the show during the first 1.5hours. then in the last half hour I'll be looking at the smaller bands I have previously played, but not had the time to really talk about them much. So guess what, DH gets more air time. Today I think I'll play something off AWBR. |

Sleeper, are you still doing your radio show? I tried to tune in via the Internet and keep getting an error message on my Windows Media Player. It happened on both computers and I tied other things I usually listen to/watch on my Windows Media Player and it worked fine. About the only other thing I can figure out is I recently downloaded the latest version of WMP to both my laptop and desktop but as I just mentioned, everything else plays fine. Is there a problem at the radio station's end? |

Don't worry, it was the stations fault. We shut down for the christmas period, but we are back on!
I was going to do a GNR show, but I'm putting that on hold for the moment. So, next week it'll be a Rolling Stones show.
