Hi,
Fantastic night!I as standing about 6ft away from the dressing room to begin with and the band passed me a couple of times on their way to the loo I think hehe and I got a smile from Karl haha.Pat warned me if I was going to turn all 14yr old then he was leaving, aww but I like a laugh It was all good.
I only took one photo as it was really dark and I was worried the flash might annoy the guys.Such a shame John your recordings are too dark to post .The pic i took I,ll post later coz I need OH to show me how .Lloyd the pic I have is of me and Nick (I am awful in it haha),but I still can,t belive how lovely he was!I d love to have a chat with him next time ,but I could see he was busy as they were just a minute or two away from going on.Its up on my Facebook page if you want a look Lloyd : The gig was acearoony as always, you just can,t fault them! I could,nt tell you my fav part from the set list but I love the last album so I was delighted to hear some tracks from that.It was really lovely to meet Princess Of the night (god us girls can gab in the toilets haha) and John ,great to put a face to the names and thankyou for the shiny
Meant to add lovin the Fever!

WOW what a night - absolutely brilliant - and I'm not joking I would say last night's concert was one of the best concerts of all time - totally tremendous. And great meeting up with Weissheim again and good to meet Annie as well. I meant to come back over and talk to you Annie once I'd got a drink but I ended up chatting to some other folk and next minute the band were coming on., so didn't get a chance.
I've seen Attica Rage 4 times before and just thought they were okay but last night they were really excellent. They could give Motorhead a run for thier money in the loudest band stakes - they were deafening and my voice was hoarse by the time they'd finished their set . They did a superb cover of AC/DC's Dirty Deeds Done with Sheep and after they'd finished that song, I shouted out "Play 747" and the singer laughed and said they were actually rehearsing that song and would be playing it when they support Blitkrieg on the 28th of this month. Fantastic, cos I'll be at that concert . Weisshem or Annie, any of you going to see them?? Rolling Thunder were brilliant as well - second time seeing them - and they are a great live band.
But Diamond Head were just absolutely 100% totally awesome. I thought they were superb in October but they were just sensational last night. No doubt in my mind, Diamond Head are the best band on the planet All the songs were incredible, The Prince, This Planet and Me, In the Heat of the Night - I nearly passed out when To The Devil His Due got played, totally tremendous song. It's Electric and Helpess were mindblowing and of course Am I Evil was just MONUMENTAL!!!!
I think you must have missed the encore Weissheim because I was almost halfway out the door when Nick tapped me on the shoulder and said they were doing some more songs and then he said "this one is for the princess" (wooohooo that made my night ) and played Play It Loud which was stunning and then Streets of Gold. BEST CONCERT EVER!!
Come back to Glasgow really really soon - what about playing on 17th September which is my birthday |

Weissheim - did you manage to get any photos at all. My camera was held together with tape but it was still working and I went to take some pics in the Solid Rock before the concert and that's when it finally died on me. I couldn't get any pics - wee Al took a few but haven't heard from him if they turned out good or not. |

Aaaww that's garbage that you missed the encore Weissheim - I think a few folk had just left right after Am I Evil thinking that was the concert over.
God knows when the last time Play It Loud was played - you should have heard it - it was absolutely immense
Did no-one manage to get some pics - I need some!! |
