Padova GigHello everybody! I'm new here but I'm probably the oldest...  last time I saw DH was the gig at the Hammersmith Odeon in '83.
The gig in Padova last saturday was really great! Thanks guys!
I guess the band deserves more popularity...

Hi, I am new to the board too. Am seeing DH next week in Mansfield UK, really looking forward to it. Being playing a lot of early 80s British Rock stuff recently in the car, I have currrently running DH Borrowed time, Spellbound by tygers of pan tang and Saxon Strong Arm of the Law. All three are absolute classic albums.

First, welcome to the forum, memphiswater! Aw, don’t feel bad about being older than some of the other forum members. Actually I’ve seen a pretty good number come on to the board who say they saw Diamond Head back in ’79 and the early 80’s so you’re not alone. Going strictly by age rather than Diamond Head experience, I think I’m the one who’s the resident fossil on the board so far
That is a GREAT picture from the Padova gig! Thank you for posting it.
Second, you GUYS are cracking me up! Discussing Nick’s hair and Nick and Brian’s wardrobe (of lack of thereof ) At this point, if Nick showed up in my town bald and wearing a turtleneck with that voice of his and Brian showed up in THAT shirt playing guitar the way he does, and the rest of the guys as well showed up to play a gig somewhere near where I lived, I would be ONE HAPPY CAMPER and not care about the band’s fashion statement in the least! 
OK, I will be a silly fan girl for one minute and say that while I like how Nick’s hair looks on the DVD, I don’t have a problem with how it’s looked in recent photos either and don’t get why you guys are freaking out over it. Then again, I just might be a weird chick for liking short hair on guys

I just thoguht Nick looked better with slightly longer hair, made him look younger.
Don't worry, I'm not one of these heavy metal hairs fans that think short hair is "selling out". In fact I've been quite glad some have reverted to short hair, like Ian Gillian and Bruce Dickenson.

Didn't know Nick used to have longer hair...mmm...I agree with sleeper, he's cute with short hair too but must be better with longer hair.
Nick took his t-shirt off afterwards but my camera was running out of the battery so couldn't take pics any more.
By the way, does anyone know why Brian has kept himself still so slim? Is he a vegitarian or what???

The Padova gig was brilliant. Looking forward to the new album too. The song "This planet and me" was what I was expecting and more. Great job guys, great gig and keep up the good work.
I will post some pics here too when I manage to get the photos down to a respectable size!!!

Gotcha.
I seem to have missed that bit where short hair in metal got equated with selling out. Sometimes I've lived under a rock on another planet
