ManowarOn the subject of Manowar I must admit that I haven't really listened to much of their stuff, seen them at a couple of festivals etcI love it that in Italy though they are like the very best metal group to have ever walked the earth. It's great cos when anyone says to me "Hey yeah I like Rock and Metal bands too, do you like Manowar" and I go... "Mano-who?" 
Just to see the look on their faces is great!!! P.S. I would probably take the time to listen to them but when I see Things like "Kingdom of steel...let the battle begin" I just think "Cheeeesy!!!" Well, if you want to listen to Manowar I'd suggest 'Brothers of Metal', always brings a smile to my face. Another thing that brings a smile to my face - that thread you just posted. Loved some of the comments on there, espcailly that first one!

Thanks for sharing that picture link, Lloydie! There can never be too many Diamond Head pictures. Some of the other band pictures I checked out are quite good too.
Manowar I'm not super familiar with their music but they do give me the giggles. Actually I know someone who's big fan of theirs. She went to a Manowar fan convention in Germany and ended up getting crowned Miss Manowar! There's footage of that on their latest DVD. Haven't actually seen it (doubt I will) but I was told that and in the item description it's mentioned there's scenes from the fan convention as bonus material or something like that.

I thought you were at the Astoria gig but I couldn't remember for sure. The pictures you take at a gig yourself can be the most special ones. 
Can you spot yourself on the DVD at all? Just curious. |

I can indeed, quite a few times. I remember when I first got the DVD I just went through the whole thing, pausing it everytime it went on the crowd! So if you see a young bloke with long floppy hair, it's probabley me (although I've cut it all off now)! |

He is dressed as a ladyman. I got it saved on my hard drive to use as evidence against him should I ever need it!!!!!

Ha Ha, so you've found out about my secret life! 
A lesson to be learnt - never argee to dress up as a woman and have your hair straightened whilst on the scrumpy!!!! However, I did manage to get two blokes phone numbers that night. They were in for a little shock  lol
