DH on WikipediaJust looking up DH on Wikipedia, and there are no articles on any of the band members, not even Brain! shocking.
Something has to be done

This is strictly IMO and I warn you, I’m going to be blunt. If anyone writes an article on Diamond Head for Wikipedia personally I feel it should be the site admin, someone associated with the band or someone recognized as a band historian or a music journalist who writes accurately. Someone like that writes an article for a Wikipedia entry, then I think it’s not too bad an idea.
As a whole I haven’t been overly impressed with Wikipedia. I’ve seen too many errors and misinformation in their “articles” to take it seriously as a reference or a primary source of information on many things. I could go on ... but I won’t for now! In theory it’s a nice idea to have this vast resource of information edited “by the people” but in practice I’ve seen too many problems with the concept.
My main point for now and again, just strictly IMO, if anyone writes a Diamond Head article for Wikipedia it shouldn’t be “just anyone”. Then when it is written and posted, make it known on the web site and/or on this board who wrote it so at least people who visit the web site and/or read the forum know it is a trust worthy article.

I totally agree with you Hifi. My point of posting this was so that the admin are aware of it.
btw, anyone been to see W.A.S.P. of their tour? Went last night and it was awesome. And I've got UFO in a week and a half

thanks for that, some stuff in there that I didn't know about. Never knew that Harris was asked to join Metallica or that Crown of Worms was done with Brian, pretty cool!
Really made my day now, although my day was already pretty good as I managed to get some Wolfmother tickets

Nice one....Nice one Rich, great to see all that info in one place.
Sleeper, just for the record, I think you'll find that Sean wrote Crown of Worms with Mr Mustaine as he gets a lyrics credit for it on the song on the CD I have (the single of "Train of Consequences"). The song is also sooooo much like one of the tunes off of the MD45 album "The Craving" (good album too) so I guess the riffs were written by Mustaine. Also a piece of Trivia!...
you may not know but when Youthanasia came out, I did what I always do and read the list of acknowledgements in the back of the CD booklet and there in the credits it is written "Brian Tatler, Sean Harris and Diamond Head".
And if you haven't got the album Youthanasia, shame on you it's a great album!!!!
Catch you guys all later.
P.S. Let us know how the Wolfmother show goes

Indeed I do have Youthanasia, in fact I have all megs' ablums (including the MD45 one). Anyway, guess what I've been doing for the last few minutes. Yep, trawling through the credits. Man, they're a long way down! But, thanks for pointing it out. I normally only look for Alice Cooper's name, then stop.
btw, I guess you, like me, keep on top of Dave's posts on the Megadeth forum. So, looks like the new album is going to be a cross between RIP and CTE. Sounds good
Anyone know what happened to the stuff that Brain did with Dave? Would be great to hear some.

Nicely done on the Wiki article! I'm glad people can go into Wiki now and read a concise, ACCURATE, article on Diamond Head.
LOL accurate as far as the stuff I know but I think it's a pretty good barometer to judge the rest is good information too. There was a few things I also didn't know and was interesting to find out.
Now I have something to add to my things to do list when I get home! (I'm eating lunch at my desk right now since I'm 5/6 hours behind you guys.) I have a whole bunch of Megadeth CD's. Off the top of my head I'm not sure if I have Youthanasia or not. Years ago a guy I used to work with loaned me Countdown To Extinction to listen to, I liked it all right, and began picking up Megadeth CD's as I found them.
I noticed you guys seemed to be big Megadeth fans. I listen to Megadeth every so often but like most bands I'm into I enjoy the music but normally don't get involved in the specific "fan communities". In fact I just left (pretty much) a band forum due to people (including band members!!!) behaving badly. I'll keep listening to the music though. Somehow I get the feeling I won't see any "bad behavior" here on anyone's part and DH is one of my "exceptions" as far as getting "involved".
I would like to hear that Brian/Dave material too! Actually any music Brian has done that I haven't heard already I'm interested in listening!!!
What the heck is a Wolfmother?

what is Wolfmother! They are by far the best band to come out recently. They play old-school rock and are meant to be the next Led Zeppelin (wonder who that sounds like?) Their debut ablum is self titled and well worth getting. You can check then out here - http://www.myspace.com/wolfmother
I agree with you about the band forums, this is the only one I really take part in. Can't stand all the negative posts that seem to fill up threads, so gald that doesn't happen here. I only really look to see what Dave has to say.

WOWSERS!!! Those guys are GOOD!!! Four tracks and all very strong. I'm not much of one for new bands any more, or these days, I guess, and the few I do vaguely end up liking tend to be in a classic rock vein as these guys are.
BTW, have they been written up in Classic Rock magazine? If they were in the past it wouldn't have hit my radar. I'm a little behind on keeping up the Excel file I have that passes for my CR index and too pressed for time to check the recent back issues just to find that out!

I do have Youthanasia but don’t think I’ve really listened to it a lot or in depth (YET). Here’s my Megadeth “collection”. They’re all on CD.
Peace Sells ... But Who’s Buying?
So Far, So Good ... So What?
Rust In Peace
Countdown to Extinction
Youthanasia
Cryptic Writings
Risk
The System Has Failed
As I mentioned before, I like Megadeth all right but it’s a once in awhile thing as far as my listening to them. I’m into so much other stuff and I am not where I’m well versed on the band and Dave except to discuss in a most superficial way.
LOL maybe I’ll make this a Megadeth weekend!
I’ve been listening to Borrowed Time as my commuting music all this week. That’s the thing about DH albums, I start playing one for the commute on Monday then can’t tear myself away from it the rest of the week ... or when I get home!

Luckily for you, I'm a student and have bangs of time on my hands!
They have been written up in Classic Rock. They are in the Monsters of Rock edition (June 2006). There is about a page on them (page 19).

No, didn't know that either. Mustaine asked him to join Megadeth at some point, and that offer was declined.
