DH in the Free Trade Hall, ManchesterI'm cleaning out the house found a ticket stub from June 1981 for a DH gig in the Manchester Free Trade Hall - signed on the back by Sean, Brian, Colin Kimberley and Duncan Scott I barely remember getting the signatures, and only barely remember the gig... it was £2.50 inc. VAT apparently - quite a way from today's prices! Supported by Silverwing, but I think we got there late...
I doubt it'd be worth much, but do you reckon I should stick it on eBay or something?
Edit: might help if I spelled Brian properly.

Interesting item ... I've seen people selling ticket stubs on eBay though not usually signed. If you don't feel compelled to keep it as a souvenir I suppose it's worth a shot. Me, I don't think it would be worth my while on its own but if you have some other ticket stubs or other items to sell, sure why not. Personally I find on smaller items its more about wanting to spend the time to sell it, and selling the item to someone who might appreciate it more or have a use for it.
I don't have much clue about a starting price or what you could get for it. Do a search on concert ticket stubs and see what sellers have been asking for similar items or getting. The best other advice I have is if you have a scanner or access to one, do a good scan of the ticket to have a picture you can post for your auction. People want to see a picture!
LOL not that I've been to a ton of shows but I still have just about every ticket stub from every show I've been to. Oddly I don't have the one for QUEEN. I think it was because my cousin bought the tickets and he held on to them the whole time instead of giving me mine and somehow I didn't get around to asking for the stub for my seat.

That's pretty cool having it signed by the original line-up.
No idea what it would go for on ebay, probabley not that much. Although I do see at my local Record Fair signed Diamond Head LPs going for £40 quite often.

Cheers gents. I'm not convinced I should get rid of it (not because of the money, but because i've been remembering more of the gig since finding this!). Still, the missus is complaining about clutter, so it may end up there yet...
Sucks about your Queen stub, HiFi.

Welcome to the forum, suiz!
Hey, if you remember some more of the Manchester Free Trade Hall gig, why don't you post about it on this board?
No worries about not having the Queen ticket stub. I still have the t-shirt, the program and a LOT of GREAT memories about the show.

Hi all!and a big DH welcome to Suiz.
Sounds like a good stub to keep, I wish I still had my "Ballbreaker" AC/DC stubb but they took it off me at Wembley and gave me a crappy wristband to wear. Happened at a Def Leppard gig I saw years ago too always at Wembley.
I say keep the stubb! Don't put it on Ebay, get a frame, put it on the wall and remember it for what it was!
Hey I got all my concert tickets right here, in fact in between them I even have a GreenDay one??? I don't know how it got in there but I remember it being a good gig at the London Astoria when Dookie came out!!!
Anyway welcome to the forums and check this out! Gene Simmons and Spongebob finally meet!!!

Good news! I found my QUEEN ticket stub! I did get it from my cousin after all.
I was looking at a data CD of archived files and pictures of mine and noticed I had a scan of the Queen ticket stub so I knew it had to be around somewhere. Then I looked in a box of music related ticket stubs and buttons/pins I was getting together and thinking about framing at some point and there it was!
