Very nice! Always fun to add to the "collection".
Can you find stuff like that in shops over there that sell old records and CD's?
I swear, some sellers, like on eBay make it sound like they find the stuff (recordings and old music magazines, etc.) easily and regularly at boot sales every week.
I think most items (bought via eBay from U.K. sellers) I've ended up paying more for the postage (to ship from the U.K. to the U.S.) than for the actual item itself ... crazy. But it's what I have to do if I really want an item that badly I know I'm not likely to find here.

there are quite a few shops over here that do sell old records, although they are fading in number
I find that most of the metal/rock record sales you can find Borrowed Time and Lightening to the Nations easily enough, but getting anything else is a bit of a challenge, and normally comes with price!!!
btw, no show tonight as the Artic Monkeys have rented out the building where the studios are for a secret gig, and the bouncers aren't letting any LUSH presenters in

After listening to the CD a few times now and can pretty much say that it is fantastic!
I love how the songs aren't over produced and have a wonderful raw sound to the vocals and guitars, something that I loved about AWBR.
wonder if anyone else owns Am I Evil and had any thoughts on it.
P.S.
Happy Valentine's day everyone!!!
I'm off to do my normal Feb 14th surprises for my gf, just need to find a way into her house Wish me luck!

Hopefully the surprise went well, luckily one of her house mates was in, so I didn't have to get the crowbar out this year!
I havn't as yet talked to the station about the idea, I just fear that they will land the project on me, and I have no idea about all the "behind the scenes" stuff at gigs. But I will try and do something about it soon.
As for the drinking at lunchtime, always a bad idea. For me it normally means that I'm going to the toilet constanly all afternoon, cider goes straight through me!!

Uh-oh ... I think I feel myself about to go totally stupid on half/eBay/amazon once again looking for that Am I Evil? CD! Sounds good.
I usually prefer the raw/live sound myself. Not too many bands can truly pull off the extremely produced or overproduced sound well IMO (Queen did it beautifully though) and sometimes I think someone is just trying to cover up a band or artist’s shortcomings with too much “production”.
Interesting, I hadn’t contemplated if AWBR is a “raw” sound but I think you’re right, Sleeper. Also interesting to note IMO if you listen to Nick’s vocals on AWBR and then compare them to the London Astoria show, there’s not a substantial difference which I think is a good thing because it goes to show the guy really can deliver - doesn’t need any “touching up” in the studio or production, you know? Same with the guitars too, really.
Be adventurous, Sleeper, please do the DH project if it all comes about and the station decides to put it in your capable hands!
Hope the Valentine’s surprise for your sweetie went well and Lloydie I hope you and your sweetie have a good day and everyone else who reads this!

Thanks Hi Fi ope you have a good day with your respective partner and the weather where you are is as good as it is here
and Sleeper, don't worry if you don't have the technical knowledge to run the show etc, thats what a learning curve is for, if you want something bad enough you'll make it happen. Just gotta work hard. Oh and beings as I am being all wise at the moment, it's better to try and fail than to never try at all!
Have a good one all
