All Concerts?Ok, here's a time waster unless you're like me and already have the list handy! On another forum I used to be on ... and a few other forums the question gets posed ... there was a thread where people were asked just for fun to list all the concerts they've been to. So I typed up a list for the one place and saved it ... and I still update it.
I know some of you here have been to waaay more concerts than I have and there might not even be sufficient space here to list them all Like I've said before, I'm funny about going to concerts ... and it's funny some of the shows I've ended up at and how and why ... Also, as much as I like metal or "heavy rock" I've been a bit skittish about seeing really heavy bands live ... but that's been changing ... a little ... Anyway, this is my list of the rock and pop shows I've been to:
Supertramp (Breakfast In America) (1979)
Styx (Main Event) (1979)
Atlanta Rhythm Section (1980)
QUEEN (Tour ’80)

Well, the ones in 1981 to 1983 period were mainly at the Glasgow Apollo. I used to keep ticket stubs in those days, plus there's a tribute site to the Apollo which lists all the bands that played there.
http://www.glasgowapollo.com/
I'm sure I've forgotten some though.

The Glasgow Apollo, a classic veune, although I am far too young to have ever been to a concert their.
You hear so great stories of bands playing there, like the balcony moving up and down with people headbanging to AC/DC and Rush leaving the stage the wrong way and the bouncer not letting them back into the venue (hence exit...stage left)

Thats an impressive mix of gigs there. I like the Avril Lavigne comment - "before she got big". I didn't realise she'd put any weight on LOL!!!!
I shall one day get round to doing a list for this post but some parts of my memory are a bit hazy, it's like trying to push little coloured cloud blocks around in my mind and just ends up getting messy.
Don't even try and ask me to put them in order of date either.....that would finish me off!
As for bands before they were "famous" I saw some great ones like Green Day and I remember seeing the Stereophonics once in a pub near Watford and the next time I saw them they were supporting Lenny Kravitz and Aerosmith at Wembley! That was weird to get my head round but good group so they deserved it.

That's pretty impressive!
The only band I saw before they got big was The Darkness. I went to see Whitesnake in Ipswich (now world famous for the murders!) and Gary Moore was meant to support but didn't show up, so they got this local band to play at the last minute. They were pretty good, playing "Love on The Rock With No Ice" and a couple of Deep Purple covers. Shame they became a joke then their album came out.

You'll have to excuse my ignorance as not in the UK much these days but hasn't Justin left The Darkness and is he going to do Eurovision this year?
Oh well, love the Eurovision. Terry Wogan for president, just keep his JD topped up as he comes out with some funny stuff. I'll have to get BBC world I think here to watch the Euro contest with his outstanding commentary.

I had never seen that before. They are both terrible.
I say just get Morrisey to sing Panic. Would be rather fitting.
