well, I'd say the best fast food resturant would have to Plazza Fish Bar on London Road in Leicester (next to Loaded Dog and Varsity) - proper fish & chips there.
However, out of those two I'd go for BK - can actually taste something. Although it is rare to find me in one of those places!
P.S.
My trip to Italy is all booked! I'm staying in Brescia. Just need to learn some Italian now

... at least that used to be my answer. I very seldom go to "fast food" places any more, not to mention I'm not much of a meat eater (especially beef) any more. Not completely meatless ... just not very much.
I will give Mickey D's a slight edge for their filet-o-fish. Actually the thing is so overprocessed it hardly tastes like fish any more ... which is probably why I've always liked it! Although from what I've researched it's not bad fish they actually use in it.
IF I had a hankering for a fast food cheeseburger now I would say Checkers. Steak N Shake was way too greasy the last couple times so I only get malts from there once in awhile.
LOL if I was visiting my mom in upstate NY I'd bug her to drive us over to one of the last old school A&W's that's up the road from where she lives. I do it every time I'm there! ... as long as it's not winter (!) 'cause it closes for the season.
