I saw in an interview with Brian that there are many songs (maybe even an album of stuff from about 7 years ago, is there a list of these and any others which might one day be released (or not)?
Have these songs been recycled on the new albums or are they completely fresh?
Is there any possibility of a release now or in the future?
Cheers,
Neil

There are at albums that have never seen the light of day, one called Flight East I think, and I don't think that the other one ever had a name. It hasn't been fully deleted as I know that Brain as copies of the material. However, I can't see them ever being released by Brian, as I'm sure that he would rather concentrate on the newer Nick Tart stuff. So the only way that it will be released is if Sean Harris puts it out.
To my knowledge, none of these songs have been recycled as all the new songs were written jointly between Brian and Nick, unless Brian recycled some riffs.
P.S. - welcome to the board |

Well after a lil bit of searching i found the song titles from the unreleased album with Sean Harris recorded in 2002/2003 they are:
Shine On Me
Forever 16
Deep
The Ferryman
Music Box
Medusa's Gaze
Real Woman
Silverdaze
Tumblenight
It's Alright
Heart Of Stone
Voodoo Sky
you also have the songs from the Flight east sessions, now a while ago i saw a copy of a supposed cassette from this session on ebay, but never seen it since and i dont know any titles, also there maybe a song called
Rise Up
recorded in the early 90's along with Wild In The Streets, I cant help Myself, Feel Good, Kiss Of Fire and Let Me Down esy for the aborted Rise Up ep..... again never heard this song!
Id love to hear the unreleased album, and any other unreleased/demoed tracks as i love diamond head!!!
Also it would be nice to hear what different directions Brian and Sean were moving in prior to Nick replacing Sean (By the way i think Nicks been doing a great job, but id love to hear sean singing some new tracks, even if not as a part of Diamond Head!

Flight East songs are :-
Be Good
A New Messiah
Someone Waiting
Today
Back In The Powerage
They're a fairly logical progression from the lighter tracks on Canterbury (I Need Your Love, One More Night, etc).
There are also some variations of a couple of these songs on the copy I have. Similar backing tracks, but a different vocalist(?!)
Re. the unreleased post-reunion album, there was a Q&A session with Brian on the Dio Message Board a couple of years ago, and I asked him about the prospect of these being released. He said that they would only be released if Sean went down that route. |

Picked up some demos of the ill fated album on Ebay some time ago - felt a little bit like FM (remember them?), very light, very commercial and without the originality and invention that was seen on Canterbury. Not heard anything re hashed from FE on later releases. |

"Rock City" was played in the early 90s and is a medley of various "Classic Rock" tracks (My Generation/Hocus Pocus/Oh Well/It's Electric). |
