I'm pissed off, I trawled all over Leicester today and got fuck all! Neither Virgin or HMV had any copies and upon enquiring neither had any on order either! Sorry but what sort of shit distribution company are the band using which means that copies are not being sent to major record shops within the Midlands area?! Sleeper's copy has not arrived either from Play.com and so no new Diamond Head for our household today!
Also, you wouldn't have thought that the guys had a new album from the website or Myspace page, I mean where's the Myspace bulletin or the big New Album Out today banner on the site? I'm not meaning to have a go Rich, beacuse the site is usually well managed, but this really should have been done!
At this rate I can see yet another album slipping into relative obscuraty unless better promotion and distribution contracts are negotiated. Also, being on a small/independent record label is also no excuse, I listen to plenty of bands on indepent labels and they don't seem to have this problem.
Not Pleased! |

I received a "new delivery estimate" from Amazon of AUGUST 30-Sept. 1.
Not sure if that means I'll actually get it a little sooner and be all impressed with Amazon (that's happened before) or if they'll keep revising my delivery estimate for a few months then cancel my order (which happened on another "import" album I attempted to obtain though admittedly a bit late in the game).
I'm just going to sit tight and if I'm not listening to my very own copy of What's In Your Head? shortly after Labor Day, I guess it will be time to put Plan B and Plan C into action.
What's in my head? I WANT MY COPY OF WHAT'S IN YOUR HEAD? AND I WANT IT NOW!!! *jumping up and down and stomping feet* |
